For most osteoarthritis (OA) patients the number of sessions needed will depend on the site and severity of cartilage damage. More complex issues may need more sessions. However, lifestyle improvements can be achieved within 5 – 6 sessions. If you have a serious condition or a progressively worsening condition, your course of rehabilitation may take longer.
Sometimes, your condition may rapidly get better, and you may notice a significant decrease in pain, range of motion, and strength within 3 – 4 sessions of physical therapy
At B-Fit, once the physiotherapist has gone through the initial phases of pain relief and your strength has returned sufficiently to do more complex exercises safely; you will move into the functional restoration phase of your post-op physiotherapy program.
If you are looking to return to an elite level of sport or need to be able to get down on the floor to play with your grandchildren, we have a return-to-sports program where our in-house personal coaches and physiotherapists collaborate to customise a plan for you. This will be done in our fully-equipped gym facility and is tailored according to your specific needs.
